Thanks! :)

Not much to shoot today and I didn't have time to play around too much. I took this pic and really liked it but it lacked that spark that draws you into a photo. So I decided to try the orton technique everyone has been talking about. It really took a boring every day shot and made it special. Not one of my all time favorite pictures, but at least now it's worthy of a print. :)

I like the warm lighting and think this effect works here. I keep resisting using this Orton effect, but think resistance is futile;) TFS.

Oh yea...and sometimes it's those everyday moments that mean the most down the road.

Agree with Dewey - it is those everyday shots that you will cherish so very much. I love this one!

Thanks! I think this will be one of those that I will remember fondly... It was the first time Colin had an ice cream cone all to himself! He was pretending to eat one after seeing someone on TV with an ice cream cone and I remembered the cones that we had bought and stuck in the pantry. We made him the ice cream cone and he ate it all (except for the last bite which he told us Sammie-dog stole.) :)
