Bob the Builder (For Colin)

As I was taking pictures yesterday, Colin asked me to take a picture of Bob the Builder. How could I refuse that sweet little request?

Just a quick shot for my son. CC welcome!

I am forever getting booked on shoots with the Little People, the Care Bears, and the Groovy Girls (not to name drop here) My DD will suggest the poses, and I'll snap away. Gotta love 4 year olds! 8) I love the lighting you have here, soft warm glow.

i only have 1 cc, i would have preferred not to have Bob's foot cut off at the bottom.

other than that, bute shot, love non-mobile models!

Yup, watch out for cropping limbs/appendages (and when you mean to don't do it at the joints).

I like your use of shallow dof on this!

Meant to add...watch out for ss slower than 1/60 (you need higher for longer focal lengths). I am curious to see how this would have looked like w/a custom white balance?

Do you shoot RAW? If not, you should give it a whirl!

I did shoot in RAW. I'll play with it when I have a chance. Any suggestions/thoughts to what I should do with it as far as white balance goes? Our Christmas tree gives such an orange glow to everything! (The regular intirior lighting doesn't help either!)

Kim, play w/adjusting the white balance in your RAW editor. Which one do you use?

Yes - I know how to adjust using RAW... I do it all the time. I just didn't know if you had a specific tone in mind... There are so many different effects out there. I'll just play with it and see what I come up with. Between that and PS the results are endless!
