I was asked to take some pictures of the girls for the website we got their hair clips from (they are the only clips we've tried so far that stay in!) So as I was doing PP I remembered Teya's Eye Pop and thought I would try it. I was thrilled with the results! The girls have very beautiful dark blue eyes that can get too dark very easily. But with just a few adjustments with curves and layer mask and viola! Color that matches their eyes in real life! What a great technique!
Cute babies! I'd love to see just a smidge more contrast in the second photo, just a smidge. The eyes look good. I keep hearing about "Teya's eye pop," but have never seen instructions. I'm going to have to do a search at 2Peas and see what comes up!
Ok - I went back and made Teagan "pop" just a touch more. I have to admit that this was definitely one of the most challenging things I have done to date. I thought it would be simple to put down the white sheet and shoot. But the flash overrode any adjustments I made in the camera and I don't know enough about it yet to get it to let me overexpose (because it wanted to make the background gray instead of white). Time for some more reasearch...
The eyes look really beautiful. My only cc, and it may well be the way the photos look on the web, but they do appear a little soft to me. Like I said, it may just be the sizing for the web that has changed this, other than that, no CC as I think they are super sweet.
Yeah - I've tried everything I can to fix it but it seems like no matter what I use to upload them they always look softer than IRL. Any ideas of what else I can do? I'm running Earthlink accelerator, but always turn it off before uploading. I think it has something to do with it though. Almost as if it's still running in the background after I turn it off?

what cute pictures of a cutie patootie! I love teya's method too. Adds so much without really changing the natural colors!
great job!
SO sweet, the most perfect little lips.
