I've been working on getting my DOF right. I have a tendancy to make the background too blurry, which is beautiful for portraits, but not so great when you want to highlight a secondary feature in the background. I like the composition of this. As far as the rule of thirds go, the top crosses hit Elmo's nose and right between Meghan's eyes. But is she still too blurry? I could easily have stopped down the aperature a bit, but I wanted Elmo crisp and we were working with available light.
Adorable shot and great compostion both vertically and horizontally. I do think that the background with your cutie patootie is a bit too blurry. Overall though it is a very cute shot.
This is precious! I would have preferred the background a tad less blurred. I have no idea if that would even be possible with getting Elmo to look so fabulous too.

Very cute shot. Love the DOF on this and the composition.
Great shot! I think your dd looks fine. I might brighten it up just a tad though.
I really love this shot. Elmo is is very good focus, and the background is blurred well. Great DOF.
I think it's great. Depends on who/what the focus of the shot is. I Love it! I think the DOF is outstanding.
