Finally a portrait of my son!

Canon 400D 28mm @ 4.5 1/80 ISO 800 defog and levels in PS

One of the only times I could get my son to sit on the backdrop. Normally he's moving too fast to slow down for even a few minutes. Natural light here. I upped the ISO on this one to get the aperture stopped down enough. Too much noise? I have to download noiseware one of these days. I'm not seeing any improvement in the reduction of noise just using PS alone. Is it distracting to have him looking off the picture? CC welcome!

Thanks! I was thinking of doing that, but the truck is over some of his toes and he was playing with it in the shots before and after. :) If I crop it that much I'm going to lose limbs... Or at least some fingers and toes! :)

I should also mention that I did dodge the background a bit. Even after levels it was still too gray.

Cute photo. I like the color of the truck, but it would be better maybe a bit closer to him? Also, he is looking off out of the photo. It may be better if the crop wasn't so close to him on that side. Like have more space on the right side of the photo kind of giving him somewhere to look out, kind of the same idea as if you have a moving subject and giving them somewhere to move to in the photo. Hope this makes sense.

it'd be cute to have the truck closer to him and maybe him looking off in that direction....
